The game

A hurricane, a last radio call, and your ship is gone.

Nothing that sinks here comes back up. You wake beneath the Bermuda Triangle, in an ocean enclosed by a crackling energy wall that no survey ever charted. The only way out is down.

Bermuda Triangle is a first-person underwater survival and exploration game. Every breath counts: your air runs out faster the deeper, faster and heavier you swim. Return to the surface, to your submarine, or to a bubble of air you planted on the seabed — or drown in the dark.

You are not the first to come down here. The deeper you go, the older it gets — and every descent takes you closer to the question the Triangle has been asking for centuries: what is waiting at the bottom, and why can no one leave?

The mystery

How deep does the mystery go?

Every people that ever reached this ocean left something behind: a carving, a prayer, a god. They never met. They lived centuries and oceans apart. And yet, the deeper you go, the more their stories answer one another.

  1. ?? m

Near the surface, the carvings tell a story you think you already know.

  2. ??? m

Further down, the same story again — carved by a people who lived an ocean away.

  3. ???? m

Every faith that reached this place left its gods behind. Down here, the gods begin to look alike.

  4. ????? m

Scripture, legend and myth stop disagreeing somewhere below. What they agree on is still waiting.

Every descent is different

The ocean is never the same twice

Each time you play, the Triangle rebuilds itself: new caves, new wrecks, new currents, new things waiting in the dark. And the depths themselves change places.

  • Generated anew

Every seafloor, cave network and wreck field is generated for your dive. What you learned last time is a rumour, not a map.

  • The order is the story

The depths are never stacked the same way twice. What lies above what changes everything that passes between them — what drifts down, what climbs up, and what the carvings say.

  • A different answer every time

Each arrangement makes the depths speak to one another in a new way. The question stays the same. How deep it goes, and what waits at the bottom of it, does not.

Dive, survive, descend

What waits below

The research submarine hovering over a kelp field

A submarine you live in

Walk its cabin, take the pilot's seat, cycle the lockout chamber to swim out. Watch its energy, its air and its hull — push past its rated depth and the ocean starts to crush it.

A diver's feet above a caustic-lit sandy slope, corals fading into the blue

Every breath counts

Air drains faster the deeper, faster and heavier you swim. Surface, reach the sub, or plant a bubble of air on the seabed and hope you find it again.

Looking down past the diver's fins through sunlit kelp

The only way out is down

A crackling wall encloses this ocean on every side. No survey ever charted it, and nothing that crossed it came back. Whatever lets you leave, it is not up here.

A dense kelp forest swaying below the surface

Caves and wrecks

Branching cave networks, sunken ships full of salvage, and shapes in the rock that no current carved.

A lone diver under shafts of sunlight far below the surface

Things that hunt you

Not everything down here is prey. Some of it follows the current, some of it follows you — and some of it is drawn to light. Sometimes the best defence is to switch off your lamp.

A striped angelfish in front of a kelp wall

A living ocean

A full day and night cycle, reef fish that hide among the coral, drifting marine snow, and bioluminescent flora in the depths.
